Continuing the Dream
In memory of Paul "Kirk" Brady Jr. (1948-2025)

In the final years of his life, Paul “Kirk” Brady Jr. found renewed inspiration through the rediscovery of his art. What began decades earlier as a small creative venture — a handful of latex masks made for a planned science fiction film — was brought back to life through the enthusiasm of collectors and fans who found him after nearly half a century. Their unexpected messages, sharing photographs and memories of his work, rekindled a sense of joy and validation that he never anticipated.
For years, his daughter, Kathryn Brady Combs, had encouraged him to revisit the world he had built in the 1970s — the aliens, the characters, and the cosmic mythology that had grown from his imagination. After attending GalaxyCon together, the idea of exhibiting his original mask collection, alongside new replicas and artwork, took hold. They envisioned a shared display — his sculptural creations on one side, Kathryn’s novels and creative work on the other.
Plans were underway to reproduce several of the masks through 3D printing, create high-resolution photographic studies, and develop a line of figurines and paintings to share with a new audience. The two were preparing for GalaxyCon 2026, where his complete collection would have been shown publicly for the first time in more than forty years.
Although Kirk passed away before the exhibition could take place, this website stands as a realization of their shared vision — an archive of his creative legacy. It exists not only as a record of what he made, but as a continuation of the dream they built together: to let his fantastic aliens, and the story behind them, live once more.
In his memory and honor, Kirk’s family will carry forward that dream, exhibiting his original masks and newly produced replicas at GalaxyCon 2026 — a celebration of the imagination that shaped his life and continues to inspire those he loved. His fantastic beings, once born of clay and vision, will stand once more beneath the convention lights — timeless witnesses to the creative spirit that made them.
